Langan Financial Group, LLC is looking to add a Certified Financial Planner to their team.
Job Summary:

Langan Financial Group, LLC is recruiting a Certified Financial Planning Associate on site for 40 hours a week to support our growing business.  This position requires a motivated individual who is proactive, detail oriented, and has great customer service.  Taking initiative and being highly focused on delivering excellent service to clients is necessary in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.  Excellent communication skills are imperative. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare client reviews
  • Meet with clients to take notes and conduct follow up activities
  • Assess clients’ overall financial picture, understand their needs, and develop solid financial plans
  • Educate clients on financial planning and investment strategies and engage directly with clients to understand their financial objectives and concerns
  • Requires an in-depth understanding of time value of money:  present value, future value, annuity payments, internal rate of return, as well other financial planning modeling scenario
  • Recommending investment products and services that are suitable for prospects and clients based on their objectives, resources, time horizon, risk profile and preferences
  • Conduct financial trades
  • Create financial reports utilizing our financial tools
  • Financial analysis including:
    • Capital gains
    • Roth conversions
    • Retirement planning
  • Coordinate meetings with wholesale vendors
  • Create content articles for blogs and newsletter

Core Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required.
  • 2-6 years of experience in a direct advisory capacity in financial services
  • Experience with Securities, Financial Planning, Investments, and Insurance required
  • Knowledge of tax laws and financial industry regulations
  • Proactive and forward thinking.
  • Commitment to customer excellence.
  • Detailed oriented and highly organized.
  • Personable, warm, engaging, empathetic, poised, and diplomatic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
Preferred but not Required:
  • Knowledge of Cambridge Investment Services
  • Knowledge on:
    • Morningstar
    • AssetMaps
    • RightCapital
  • Licensed Series 7 and 66
