Prevention Manager
Position Title: Prevention Manager
Reports To: Director of Prevention Services
Status: Full-Time
Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Prevention Manager to lead and oversee evidence-based prevention programs serving children, youth, and families. This position plays a key leadership role in program implementation, staff supervision, family recruitment, community engagement, and strategic growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a strong relationship-builder who is passionate about strengthening families and communities through high-quality prevention programming. This individual must be highly organized, collaborative, and experienced in both team leadership and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Oversight
- Manage and oversee evidence-based prevention programs for children, youth, and families.
- Ensure programs are implemented with fidelity and aligned with organizational goals and funding requirements.
- Monitor program outcomes, participation, and overall effectiveness.
- Support continuous quality improvement efforts and strategic program development.
Staff Supervision & Development
- Supervise and support program staff, facilitators, coordinators, and support personnel.
- Provide coaching, leadership, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and mission-driven team environment.
Family Recruitment & Community Outreach
- Lead recruitment efforts to engage children, youth, caregivers, and families in prevention programming.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with schools, community organizations, and referral sources.
- Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and outreach activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to increase program visibility and participation.
Strategic Planning & Operations
- Assist in strategic planning initiatives related to prevention services and organizational growth.
- Analyze community needs and identify opportunities for program expansion and innovation.
- Support grant-related goals, reporting requirements, and sustainability efforts.
- Maintain accurate program documentation, data collection, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, Public Health, Education, Psychology, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience required.
- Demonstrated background in strategic planning and program development.
- Experience working with evidence-based programs and/or prevention initiatives strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with community outreach, partnership development, and family engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills are a plus.
